Pros:
  • Extremely useful controls and easy navigation
  • Image detection ensures sharp images

  • Tutorial would be a great addition
  • Good lighting is required for glossy documents

There's an app for that. At this point, there is really an app for just about anything you could think of. That said, whenever an app is released which makes us realize we couldn't live without it, we become just a little more grateful. Sure we can send documents as emails and faxes, but what if we wanted to send it out as an actual item in the mail? ScanPost lets you do just that.

Here's an example scenario. Your boss tells you that you have to send over a copy of a document ASAP. Traditionally, you would copy or scan it, then find an envelope and mail it over. Or you would email the resulting scan. What if you have to mail it? ScanPost lets you scan any document using the camera on your device. You can even select images from your gallery (i.e. scans you've made from other apps).

Scan anything and mail it anywhere using ScanPost

 

Image Detection and Filters allow for super sharp images. You can change the orientation of scanned images and after snapping a picture, you can pinch and zoom and crop as necessary. Following this, you are then prompted to mail out your document. You need to enter a return address. You are then asked to select a destination address. An address book keeps track of destination addresses. You can even assign each contact an icon for easy spotting.

Once everything is ready to go, you can send out Black and White documents for $2.50. Color is only a dollar more. You literally can take care of everything in just a few taps. You can pay for mailings via PayPal, Apple Pay or any major credit or debit card.

There is not much to criticize about ScanPost as it is easy to use and get around. A nice illustrated tutorial would be indespensible to tech novices. We've reviewed a ton of post card apps which work similarly, but ScanPost will find it worth in both business and personal situations alike.
