Don't Crash Android App Review

KISS is an industry standard. If you’re not privy to the acronym, it stands for “Keep It Simple Stupid”. The idea is simple can be and usually is the most effective. When it comes to gaming, elaborate plots with over the top graphics doesn’t always make for the best game. Don’t Crash by SimpleHousehold for Android is an example of simplicity done just right!

Enter Don’t Crash
In Don’t Crash, you have one simple task, as the name implies, do not let your character crash into anything, and we mean anything! Your job is to stay alive as long as you can while keeping your character from harm. Harm in this case comes from anything yellow. Like an explorer running through an Egyptian tomb, most of your obstacles will come from yellow lines caving in on you at various speeds. You can move your character out of the way to safety by doing what you normally do on your mobile device, swipe.
Avoid yellow lines and capture the green squares to increase your score!
Fattening Your Wallet
The fun doesn’t stop there though. While you can in theory just avoid yellow lines all day, the enjoyment comes from collecting points. Usually appearing as green squares or dots, slamming your character into them will up your point score. The more points, the better. Everything is gravy as they say until you crash into something. Once you do that, it’s all over. Your score will be whatever you were able to accumulate during that run.

The End Game
Like most retro-styled games, you want to best your score! We were able to collect more and more points with each run, perfecting our approach and paying close attention. No doubt you’ll be able to do the same. Keep in mind however, that your enemies, the yellow lines, will close in at varying speeds and each run will be slightly different than the last. This is great of course as it will keep you coming back for more and more.
