With shows like the Walking Dead, Zombie-Mania is in full swing. These half alive, half dead beasts who feast on the bodies of the living have taken the world by storm with people guessing whether zombies exist in real life. If you are that bent on believing they do, and are hyped up beyond description to take them out with your best shots, then Zombie Offensive is the game you’ve been looking for.

Ready, Aim, Fire

If you own an Android device, download this jewel and you’ll be ready for some intense action. The game takes place in various parts of the world. Armed with a machine gun, grenades and a joystick, you can aim your weapon to any oncoming zombies in a 360 space. You can literally move in any direction around your point of view. A nice radar tells you where zombies are relative to you. Be careful however. Take the zombies out as they approach you. You can see their health levels with green bars over their heads. Taking shots at them decreases their health levels. If they get too close, they can claw away at you and take you to your death bed.

After getting used to the game play, you’ll be able to keep the zombies at bay. Beware however, subsequent cities on the world map (which get unlocked as you advance) have heaps of Zombies coming in your direction. Should you feel overwhelmed, throw a grenade. This will take every single visible zombie out in any direction with the 360 space to the floor killing them instantly and clearing the board for you to start a new waiting for new zombies to appear.

Verdict

We really enjoyed the simplicity of Zombie Offensive. We played this on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and were impressed with the smoothness of the graphics, particularly when we panned around and did lots of 360s to scope out our space. Grenades take a while to refill which can be frustrated when you have a lot of zombies in view, but it makes the game more challenging. Be sure to keep your eyes peered on the screen and get ready to fire your main weapon. If you are a Zombie love and wish you were on of the heroes taking them out, or if you just like shooting games, Zombie Offensive is definitely worth a look.
