Android Activations Soar To 1.5 Million A Day

It isn't hard to believe that Google, a company founded less than 15 years ago, is the juggernaut that is today. Google announced earlier today that Android activations and power ups have reached a whopping 1/5 million daily! Do that math, currently, 900 million activations have taken place since operating system made its debut five years ago back in 2008.

With trademarked items such as the Galaxy from Samsung and the One from HTC fueling immense growth during 2012, speculators suggest that Android as a platform is stalling, with the iPhone slowly taking the lead in the last quarter. Only time will tell. 

Until then, 1.5 Million a day is quite the feat, and we imagine that at least for the short term, Android will reign king.
